2022 Viognier
California
o Gold Medal: 91 Points, OC Fair Commercial Wine Competition, 2024
Winemaker's Notes:
The Viognier grape traces its origin to the Rhone Valley and
southern France, alongside Roussanne and Marsanne. In the Cote du Rhone region, it is known to
be planted with Syrah, at a rather small level of up to 5%, and mainly to
provide more aromatic qualities to the Syrah.
Viognier produces an aromatic, crisp, dry and refreshing
white wine. It has unique, recognizable aromas of apricots, orange blossom and
at times nutty aromas reminiscent of almonds.
The intensities of these aromas will depend of the region where the grapes
are grown.
This is a crisp, clean and lush Viognier. It possesses aromas and flavors of peach, pear,
and violet with a distinctive level of minerality. It has a firm structure and
a pleasing long finish
