Pick-up — C.G.Di Arie Winery encourages club members to pick up their wines within 6 months of release date.

Shipping — Adult 21 years or older must be available to sign upon delivery. It is the club member's responsibility to notify the winery if you will not be available to receive your shipment. Returned shipments will incur additional fees. We do not ship to PO boxes. We ship to the following states:
AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, IA, MD, MI, MO, NH, NV, NY, NC, OH, OR, TX, VA, WA, WI, WY.

Winemaker's Notes:

Cabernet Franc is one of the major red grape varieties in the world mainly used as a blending wine especially as an ideal minor partner to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in Bordeaux style wines. It is also produced as a standalone variety in the Loire in France and in California. Viewed as a gentler version of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc thrives in the warmer climate and sandy soils of our region. Contrary to the Cabernet Franc that grows in the cooler climates of Bordeaux and the Loire, our Cabernet Franc has a deep red color and is abundant in refined tannins making this wine full bodied.

Records of Cabernet Franc in Bordeaux go back to the end of the 18th century, although it was planted in Loire long before that time. DNA analysis indicates that Cabernet Franc is one of two parents of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Carménère

This Cabernet Franc was aged in French oak barrels for 20 months and blended with 4% Cabernet Sauvignon just before bottling. It has sweet floral aromas of violets, which transform on the palate revealing exotic flavors of black currant, cassis and plum. It has a sustained finish adding hints of black licorice. This wine has a perfect balance and a firm structure.
