Winemaker's Notes:
I have always been driven to create blends from varietals
that come from different wine regions of the world and even from different
countries. Sierra Legend is one of
these blends. First made in 2005, Sierra
Legend is a blend Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, both Bordeaux
varieties, Syrah, a Rhone variety, and Primitivo originating in Croatia.
Inky purple in color, this luscious wine has intense aromas
of dark berries with hints of baking spices and black pepper. This is a perfectly
well balanced wine which makes it hard to identify its components. While the fruit flavors play a dominating
role, you can identify some savory, smoky and earthy notes that continue all
the way to the long finish.
