2013 OnStage
Estate Grown &
Bottled
El Dorado, California
Winemaker’s Notes:
Like
its predecessor the 2013 OnStage
is a blend of 8 varietals nurtured and cultivated in our Estate Vineyards. While perfectly balanced, 2013 OnStage has its own individual identity,
different than any of its components.
The inspiration to make the two vintages of OnStage came to me watching last couple of year’s performances at
the Berkeley Repertory Theatre.
Every component of OnStage has been individually crafted and
aged in French oak barrels for 2 years.
Creating the blend and tweaking it to perfection took us about 3
months. While half of its components
make up 80% of the blend, every minor component has a significant influence on
the flavor profile and complexity of the blend.
OnStage has
a dark ruby color with strong aromas of blackberries and blackcurrant which
carry to the mid-palate adding raspberry and cherry flavors with hints of
spice. The finish is long and intense
with a delightful grip of tannins.
