Winemaker Notes:
This dry Rose wine was made from a blend of Tempranillo, from the
Duarte Vineyards in Georgetown, and from our Estate grown Syrah.
After inspection and sorting the grapes were de-stemmed and
crushed, cooled with dry ice to 55 degrees F and allowed to cold
soak overnight to extract some of the color and flavor from the
skins. The next day the must was pressed into a stainless steel
tank and cooled to 45 – 50 degrees F to allow the juice to settle.
After settling, the juice was transferred to barrels, inoculated
and fermented to dryness at controlled temperature of 60 degrees F.
This is a delicious Rose that has structure, complexity and
balance common to wines with great pedigree. Expect flavors of
grapefruit and apricot with a crisp and clean lingering finish. It
is a perfect wine to enjoy solo or paired with cheeses.
