Winemaker's Notes:
Proprietor’s Blend has become the most popular of all of our
Gallery Collection wines. Following our tradition, this blend
consists of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Each one
of the components was made individually; the Syrah in our submerged
cap fermentor and the other two wines in small open top
fermentation tanks. They were aged separately in French oak barrels
for 12 months, blended together and aged another 3 months before
bottling.
The intense raspberry and dark berry aromas of this wine create
very high expectations, which are fulfilled on the palate, adding
layers of black current, plum and black cherry accented with cola
and baking spices. More dark fruit combined with chocolate, vanilla
and spice linger on in the long finish. This perfectly balanced
wine has concentrated flavors, complexity, finesse and excellent
structure. While the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc play the
dominating role in this interesting blend, it is the Syrah that
gives this wine the special identity.
